• Go to the contact page to reach out for a free 15 minute consultation and we can discuss your needs, a plan for testing, and resources in the community that might be helpful.

I am always happy to point folks in the direction of free or lower cost services during the consultation. My goal is to help clients find the best fit for their needs.

  • I offer in-person services (in downtown La Mesa) as well as telehealth services. Many evaluations require that you attend an in-person session. I do my best to be as flexible with clients’ preferences for in-person and telehealth.

For some therapy clients, especially those with a life-limiting diagnosis, I offer in-home therapy.

  • I do not accept insurance at this time. Often, insurance companies limit testing to a short battery that does not allow clinicians to get at the root causes of behavior.

The evaluation I provide is individually tailored and includes a road-map of next steps to guide you. Therefore, a more comprehensive evaluation is often an investment in long-term success.

I am happy to provide you with a “superbill” which many clients choose to submit to their insurance to seek reimbursement. I also provide a Good Faith Estimate after an initial free 15 minute consultation in order for you to be informed about costs.

  • Psychological testing is a scientific endeavor where my job is to collect lots of data and interpret that data to determine the best explanation for behavior. At times, this process can be tedious, requiring many hours of testing and labor, because humans are complex. I will do my best to provide prompt and fair services to best answer your presenting concerns at a fair price.

  • A minimum of one week notice for all cancellations for testing or evaluations or re-scheduling requests is required.

I try to be flexible and responsive to rescheduling. I understand how challenging it can be to schedule and attend appointments and my goal is to work with you!

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the January 2022, health care providers need to give patients paying cash for services an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. The estimate is based on our understanding of your case as we know it.

You can ask our team for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.
