A neuroaffirming practice that provides individualized psychological assessment, unrelenting advocacy, and practical next steps.
My name is Dr. Brett Boeh (Bay) Bergmann (she/her). I am a licensed clinical-community psychologist and earned my Ph.D. from the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign. I completed my internship at Sharp Mesa Vista and postdoctoral fellowship at Sharp McDonald Center here in San Diego.
I specialize in psychological assessment using gold-standard tools and a strengths-based approach to help clients navigate diagnoses and gain access to community resources. My mission is to increase access within San Diego County to high quality testing services. I have clinical expertise in psychological testing, Autism assessment, ADHD assessment, geropsychology, end-of-life, and substance use. I also provide therapy services, in line with my clinical expertise.
In addition to private practice, I work full-time at Sharp Mesa Vista as the clinical psychologist for the Senior Behavioral Unit and as faculty for the training program where I provide direct service to patients, teach future psychologists, and provide supervision for assessment across the hospital. My work at Sharp Mesa Vista is a testament to my deep commitment to serving my community.
I am a native to San Diego, proud graduate of the Academy of Our Lady of Peace, mother of three, and a caregiver to an adult with disabilities which fuels my passion for being an advocate and neurodiversity affirming service provider within the mental health community. You can call me Dr. Boeh (Bay) Bergmann, Dr. Brett, or just Brett – whatever suits you!
